It is an elegant camera with a number of interesting features, namely the double plates that hold the viewing hood in position. The camera was made in quarter-plate (this example) and 9 x 12 cm formats. This example is the first variant, that was produced between 1908 and 1910.
The camera has several relevant patents, namely:

1905 - GB190520528A - The shutter, patented by Magnus Niell (Mechanical engineer - New York)
1906 - GB190616198A - The camera itself, patented by Charles Peczenik (Engineer - London) and Augustus Maskens (Leather manufacturer - Islington).
The focal plane shutter delivers speeds in the range 1/10 to 1/1000 plus T and B. The fitted lens is a Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar of 150 mm of focal length and 4.5 of maximum aperture. According to Hartmut Thiele's data, the lens is from 1908.
